Is there a designated area for laptops?
First off, we encourage SHARING tables as much as possible. If you are sitting at a table and see someone looking for a table, please offer to share your table with them. Meet someone! In general, we encourage those with laptops to sit along the side wall so that larger groups can use the tables.
Do you sell your beans?
You bet! Any coffee you see in jars is for sale. The ‘ADVENTURE’ line represents rare and award winning coffee (and are therefore a little higher in price). There is an extensive variety of single origins and blends. Not sure what you want? Ask a barista for a recommendation or check out our COFFEE MENU in the coffeehouse.
Do you sell loose-leaf tea in bulk?
Yes we do! All of our loose-leaf teas are available for purchase in bulk (by the ounce). Ask the staff for recommendations or ask to see a TEA MENU.
Why does my espresso drink take longer here than at “other” coffee shops?
At Caffè Amouri, we hand-craft every drink. We ensure the espresso in your latte or macchiato is calibrated to the highest quality and steamed just right. With that said, if you’re not satisfied with the drink we put in your hands, let the barista know and we’ll remake it to your satisfaction.
I’d love to serve your coffee at an event I’m having. How can I do this?
We can supply fresh-brewed coffee for events of 10, 50, even 100 people. We can loan you a cambro for a morning or afternoon event, supply any needed cream, sugars or provide cups and sleeves. Talk to any manager or email the coffeehouse manager at email@example.com
Where do you get your beans? Are they fair-trade?
We carefully source all our beans, seeking those that fit our mission statement of Quality and Community. Our importers work closely with farmers, paying higher than market rate for superior lots. We consider this “human” SUSTAINABILITY. Fair trade, direct trade, farm gate pricing, we are always looking to reward farmers and their families for their efforts that result in coffee of the highest QUALITY.
I want to buy really fresh-roasted beans. How do I find out what is freshest?
We plan our roasting so nothing in the shop is older than 10 days. You can be assured that any coffee you purchase is “roaster fresh.” If you want to know what’s been roasted most recently, simply ask one of our knowledgeable staff. Remember though, coffee must ‘rest’ for 24 hours before it should be ground and consumed. In general, coffee tends to reach its peak 3 – 7 days after it’s roasted.
How does your open mic work? How do I host an open mic?
To play or perform, simply show up. The earlier the better! It gets more crowded as the evening goes on. When you get here, check in with the host or tell a staff member behind the counter you are interested in playing a couple songs. You will be put on a first come, first serve queue/list. My charity is having a fundraiser. Can Caffè Amouri contribute?
COMMUNITY is part of our mission statement. We love giving back; it’s an important part of what we do. As such, we are constantly asked to make donations to many worthy charities. If you have a local non-profit organization, we will do everything we can to help you out. However, please know that we can’t fulfill every request. For donation requests email email@example.com.
