Penny UniversityModeled after 18th century coffeehouses in London, where for a penny, the intelligentsia of the day would gather to discuss politics, business, science and other weighty matters. Our Penny Universities are an opportunity for our community to learn about many different things; from culinary knife skills, to book talks and signings, to how to “unplug” from the internet to a hands on workshop in “aqua painting.” The subjects vary widely but the result is always a fun and rewarding evening.

Club NightEvery Friday evening it’s a night of fun and music as friends and families can listen to or spin vinyl or play games. Look for new Club Night activities soon!

Vienna IdolIt started as a local talent competition that supported the Khristin Kyllo Memorial Fund. It’s grown to a regional contest that has raised, to date, almost $100,000. These funds help send young people who face significant challenges to college, purchase epilepsy seizure monitors and help fund SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death from Epilepsy) research. Qualifying auditions begin in April and culminate in the Finals on the Vienna Town Green in early June.
