This is a basic, introductory course designed for those who wish to begin their journey down the exciting road of coffee exploration. Ever wonder why the cup you brew at home just doesn’t taste the same as that you get at your favorite coffee shop? Let us teach you how to replicate that experience. Learn the basics of home brewing which includes the art and science of optimum extraction, brew methods, an understanding of bean varietals and processing methods, roast level and brew device pairings and, finally, how YOU CAN DO IT! Learn the differences between immersion and infusion as well as the role that seemingly simple things such as agitation play in your final cup. Just knowing the 6 essential elements of brewing will start you along that path.
