What is coffee? Where does it come from? How many people are involved in getting it into your home, your cup? Did you know that it takes 5 years for a seedling to begin bearing fruit and once it does that one tree yields only about 1 lb? Find out about your favorite drink in this, our most popular class. The history of coffee; who is Kaldi the goat herder? The “true” mysterious story of how coffee came to the western world. This class is the perfect start to your coffee education journey. Seed to cup covers the history of coffee, the supply chain, coffee processing, caffeine and decaffeination, a basic understanding of roasting, and preparation of the perfect cup. Of course, I will have some coffee for you to drink during the class too.
